Tihar 2008

New Zealand Nepal Society organised and event celebrating auspicious Laxmi puja and Tihar with friends and families. The program was attended by some 65 adult and about 20 children. As the purpose was to celebrate Tihar to highlight cultural aspects, meeting and greetings among friends and play (sing) Bhailo and Deusi. The program started with Laxmi puja and thereafter it was conducted as scheduled and went smoothly amidst laughter, music dance and fun and fair. Miss Anisha Kerna presented a lovely dance. Bhailo and Deusi were centre of attraction. Female group was led by Mrs Roshani Shrestha-Kattel and male group was led by Mr Ajit Thapa. After selling the ticket for Bingo we had mouth watering variety of food. All participants including children enjoyed the delicious food.
