New Year Celebration 2010

New Zealand Nepal Society organised an event to celebrate New year 2010 at the Cornwall Park, Auckland. The programme started with the Greetings and Good Wishes from the President, Vice President and the Secretary. Among other members Udhav Adhikari, B R Maharjan, Achala Adhikari and few others wished Happy New Year. Then a few new comers introduced themselves. Thereafter, Dr RR Pant organised the Blindfolded Treasure Hunting game, which entertained not only our group, but there were other spectators as well. There were a couple who hit the target. The picnic was very good with scattered groups sitting on lawn and having prepared lunch. It was nice to share the preparation and taste the goodies. The game and gossips continued till about 5 pm. It was a great gathering of 35 families and friends with total number of participants crossing century. I know many of our fellow members had previous commitment or pre-planned trip to elsewhere but I am glad rest of us could come there to start a perfect day of New Year together.
