The most important and celebrated festival of the Nepalese community Dasain was organised by NZNS on 01st October 2022 at Mount Albert War Memorial Hall.

The event was inaugurated with the traditional opening speech by President Dr Santosh Bhandari, followed by short remarks from honourable MPs and special guests. The traditional dance performances by various age groups made the overall programme one entertaining evening. It was great to see wider members all dressed up traditionally and capturing the moments with group photos – huge thank you to Chandra Gurung for his assistance in photographing the events.

The programme was paused for a short dinner break with a delightful Nepali set menu as usual. The event was then resumed with a series of melodious songs by special singer Ankita Ghatani.
