*Heartfelt condolence and tribute to Sir Edmond Hillary*
You were a brave son of ideal society and World Empire of 20th century.
The world shocked with the news of your sudden demise.
Now all the people of the world are in deep sorrow.
Each morning Mount Cook greets you and you used to smile with due respect.
Mount Everest also overwhelmed with joy to see you in Khumjung areas often.
Now they are also in deep moan.
At this moment, I am praying for your eternal peace with god.
You had devoted almost your whole life for the progress and prosperity of
Khumjung people.
And you were the main source of inspiration for the tourism development of
Nepal.
Khumjung people remind you as god.
How great you were when you told not to build your statue but carry on his
path.
You will be there forever and Lady June also expressed her wishes to follow
your foot prints.
So with dignity and honor you passed away and because of your vigorous
courage and firm determination, you will be immortal in the pages of the
history.

"Tribute to Sir Edmund Hillary"
Sir Edmund Hillary was one of the great personality of twentieth century. 55 years ago, we Nepali
people had chanted jubilantly in the street and everywhere of Kathmandu with slogans
"Tenzing Hillary Jindawaad" or "Long live Hillary ", "Long live Tenzing
Sherpa". One of the great achievement of twentieth
century was to step on the highest peak of Mt. Everest. That challenging task was met by two heroes - Edmund Hillary
and Tenzing Norge Sherpa at 21st May 1953.
Now, both of these heroes physically are not among us but they are immortal. They did unusual deeds.Since then Edmund Hillary was attached with Nepali people for their welfare. He stablished many schools, health
posts and other developmental institutions. Lukla airport is flying flag of his reputation. Many students are benefited
with scholorships managed by Edmund hillary. Solukhumbu east no. 3 of eastern Nepal, where I am also attached,
is a memorial place of Edmund Hillary. The people of Nepal are in deep grief. They will remember Sir Edmund Hillary thankfully.
He was the main source of tourism development in Nepal. He drew the attention of world towards tourism
development area in Nepal.
One, who has left one's deeds and fame never dies. Sir Edmund Hillary reached to the
endlessness.
I extend my heartfelt tribute to late Sir Edmund Hillary. I have deep sympathy with lady June Hillary and bereaved family.

I met Sir Ed in the Mt. Everest region of Khumjung in 1976 when I was
posted to establish Mt.Everest National Park. I had several other
occasations to chat with Sir Ed in Kathmandu's Department of Wildlife. His
deep support of Everest region & Sherpa people
with the establishment of many schools, Hospitals and educational support to
many nepalese who had chance to come and study
in New Zealand is a significant robust contribution to the upliftment of
the Nepalese people will always be rebembered.
I would like to support naming a Peak in Nepal's Himalayas after Sir Ed.
Nepalese Association in Auckland can initiate
discussions towards this direction to coordinate with the Nepalese
Government.
